Helen

Veterinary Surgeon, Lead Vet & Cat Advocate

Helen graduated from Glasgow University in 2004 and since then has worked in small animal practice in West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, South Yorkshire before finally returning to her West Yorkshire roots to join the Calder team in 2010.

She works at our Huddersfield branch one evening per week but most of her time is spent at the busy Dewsbury hospital where she enjoys both consulting and operating. The thing she enjoys most about working for Calder is the high standards of veterinary care and the unrivalled ability of the full team, particularly benefiting from the ability to internally refer cases at Calder. This allows her to continue to work alongside the certificate holders with her more challenging cases, rather than these cases being referred out of house, as in more traditional vet practices.
