MARK HARRISON TAKES ON THE MBNA CHESTER MARATHON TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE BLUE CROSS
The Huddersfield Daily Examiner together with its partners Calder Vets, Huddersfield Fun4Paws and Mars in the Community, are looking for dogs living in Kirklees who have made an outstanding contribution to their owners of families.

As part of the investigation we performed a blood test which revealed an increase in her kidney enzymes and abnormal electrolyte levels (an increase in her blood potassium and a reduction in her blood sodium levels). These changes on a blood profile can indicate kidney disease but can also indicate a condition called hypoadrenocorticism or Addison's disease.
It was clear that the leg was broken so her owners rushed Poppy to their local vets. They examined her to make sure she had no other injuries and then took some radiographs of the leg.
Jess was very weak and pale when examined and this increased suspicion that she could be anaemic. A blood profile was run and this confirmed that Jess was severely anaemic.
Battling poor access, they hauled the terrified cat from the water and rushed him to the vets, soaked and freezing cold.
Fundraising as already started and the initial part of her treatment as begun. On Thursday 29th of November 2012 Heidi was given a sedation and CT images where taken of her deformed leg.
We are pleased to announce we have expanded our service by opening branches at Denby Dale and Penistone. Previously owned by McCarthy and Associates, the premises are undergoing significant modernisation.
