Branch Senior, Registered Veterinary Nurse & Cat Advocate
I began my career as a veterinary nurse in 2003 and attended Myerscough college to complete my veterinary qualifications. I qualified in 2006 and worked in a small animal referral practice for eight years as a senior nurse, before moving on to another practice in West Yorkshire.
I completed my advanced veterinary nursing in medical and surgical nursing in 2010 and had much involvement with the training of veterinary nurses throughout this time. I began working at Calder vets in 2012 at the ophthalmology referral centre and my main interests other than nursing ophthalmology patients, include medical nursing and anaesthesia.
I'm now the senior branch nurse at our Mirfield branch, where I get to do lots of nurse clinics enabling me to really bond with our clients and their pets. I'm really enjoying working in first opinion again.
In my spare time i enjoy walking with my dogs, travelling and socialising with friends and family.
