Referral Service - MRI

We have a regular visit from an MRI scanner fully equipped for magnetic resonance imaging on animals. To find out forthcoming dates for MRI please contact us on 01924 504606

 


 

MRI may be a useful diagnostic aid in cases of:

Brain disease
Spinal disease
Nasal and Airway disease
Peri-Ocular disease
Middle Ear disease
Some musculo-skeletal problems
Oncology - establishing tumour margins and metastatic disease

We have a regular visit from the scanner, however emergency scans can be arranged at very short notice. MRI is an incredibly powerful tool for providing accurate information for the diagnosis of a very wide variety of disorders that conventional systems can not reveal easily.

We can offer scanning for congenital conditions as well inluding; syringohydromyelia in Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and incomplete ossification of the humeral condyle in springers.

Any scan can be arranged depending on the patients needs.

After an initial appraisal by one of our referral vets all of our MRI’s are routinely interpreted by Dr Mike Targett MA VetMB PhD DipECVN MRCVS or Mr. Edoardo Auriemma DVM DipECVDI and an independent official report is made.
