Calder Vets at Brighouse was established in 2004. There is a car park for clients at the front of the building. Facilities include a spacious waiting room, 2 consulting rooms, prep room (for anaesthetic induction, minor procedures and dental work), operating theatre, imaging room with x-ray and ultrasound facility, lab facilities and a ward for day patients.

The main veterinary surgeons at Brighouse are Natalie Scott BVetMed MRCVS and David Bull BVSc MRCVS. Natalie joined the practice in 2010 and is studying towards an RCVS Certificate in Veterinary diagnostic Imaging. David joined the team in September 2009 and is currently studying towards an RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary. Natalie and David are both experienced in all aspects of small animal general practice, with a particular interest in surgery. Needless to say, they are both pet owners themselves.

The head nurse is Sarah Walker RVN. Sarah joined the practice in 2010 and is a qualified veterinary nurse. She is able to offer a Pet Health Advisor service and is keen to help with a wide range of health problems and general advice, including weight clinics/dietary advice, senior pet clinics, parasite control (worming and flea treatment), vaccinations, choosing the right pet and dental checks, with referral to the vet if required. Sarah also has an interest in behavioural problems and can offer advice about any behavioural problems your pet may have as well as organising “Puppy Parties” at the Brighouse surgery, a great opportunity for socialisation of your new puppy and a chance for lots of questions and advice – Please ask for further details.
